Lipstick shades should change along with the season. In the fall and winter, dark maroon and deep brown shades offer an earthy, warm look that is perfect for the colder weather. However, when summer rolls around you’re probably in search of something livelier and more dynamic. Continue reading Top Lipstick Shades for Summer

Summer festivals have a long and celebrated history (Woodstock and Burning Man, anyone?), as they serve as a chance for like minds to come together and commemorate a specific cultural movement or idealism. The average modern-day summer music festival follows this sentiment, but with so many options out there (festivals are a dime a dozen these days), planning your wardrobe can be more overwhelming than exciting. We planned this guide in the hopes of putting the fun and free back into festival-going by providing various looks that are sure to be a hit.
You can never go wrong with a pair of cowgirl boots at a festival, regardless of what it’s intended to celebrate. Pair your kicks with a simple white spaghetti strap dress, a straw hat and a leather side satchel. If your destination is located in the desert, as many festivals are, consider swapping out the white dress for more practical denim shorts and a crop top.
Let’s be honest — the bohemian look is the original festival look. If you want to remain authentic to the true spirit of music festivals, don your floral maxi dress or maxi skirt, a flowing tunic and some bangles. Don’t forget the larger than life sunglasses, hat and earrings, all of which can really pull your look together.
This look is ideal for festivals that are far more subdued than, say, Coachella or Electric Daisy Carnival. Channel your inner warrior princess with a long, flowy black dress (lace is a must!), knee high suede boots and felt fedora. Go heavy on the eyeliner and, if you’ve ever wondered if there is a time to do spider-leg lashes, now is it.
Do you want a chance to play around with the newest clothing trend that is neon but don’t feel comfortable wearing a bright pink jacket to the office? Buy your ticket for EDC or a similar concert and go all out with the mesh, neon, glowsticks and leather. You’ll fit right in.
In all honesty, summer music festivals are about expression. Find a look you like and that suits your personality and it’s sure to be a hit. And, if you’re really proud of your festival look, share it on our Facebook page!

Dermaplaning is all the rage these days, and even if you’re not a huge trend follower, you’ve likely heard of it. Dermaplaning is similar in theory to microdermabrasion in that it is a physical form of exfoliation. The procedure entails a cosmetic surgeon or skincare expert using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently shave the top layer of dead skin and fine vellus hair from the skin’s surface. Continue reading Dermaplaning: What Is It, and Should You Do It?
As with every other sector, the beauty industry sees its fair share of trends come and go. Some trends are fleeting and last no more than a year or so, while others are just the beginning of a larger movement. In 2020, consumers can expect to see a little bit of both.
Following the spring 2020 runways, one thing became apparent: The 90s are making a comeback. Eyeliner and rhinestones were all over the runways this past fall, with models rocking both on their lids and around their eyes. Though you should feel free (and confident) to be as expressive as you want, you can always tone down the runway look by using stick-on rhinestones to line your cat-eye, playing with glitter eyeshadow around the edges or placing discreet gems in the inner corners of your eyes.
