How Do We Name Our Products?

If you’ve been shopping with Hale Cosmeceuticals long, you’ve probably noticed that our products can have some pretty strange names – usually with a series of letters and numbers. If you look closely, you’ll realize that these formula names actually give you some very important information about our products!

Let’s take a look at a few of our popular products and decode their labels for you:

  • Dermist GSL-624 Clarifier: The “GSL” stands for the three main active ingredients – glycolic acid, salicylic acid and lactic acid. These work together to exfoliate and brighten your skin.
  • ORAC Lifting Complex: The term “ORAC” stands for “oxygen radical absorbency capacity,” and it refers to the strength of an antioxidant. Our ORAC complex has one of the highest naturally-sourced antioxidants available – 3,666 units. To give you an idea, the typical antioxidant from our competitors has just 500 units!

You’ll see similar patterns in the names of most of our products – the active ingredients are featured front-and-center right on the label!

At Hale, we care about being up-front and honest in all that we do – including naming our products. That’s why we choose to use informative formula names that reflect the active ingredients. We have nothing to hide, and we take pride in the high-quality ingredients used in our cosmeceuticals. So while our products might not have the cutesy names you’ll find from some companies, when you shop at Hale, you know exactly what you’re getting – high-quality, cruelty-free, effective products!
