Written by Hale Cosmeceuticals Inc | Dec, 26 2016

At Hale Cosmeceuticals, we want you to look and feel beautiful. We know our products are scientifically formulated to deliver results to get you there. But when you run out of your favorite cleanser or moisturizer, there's one staple that can do in a pinch: coconut oil.

Versatile Skin Care

Coconut oil can be used for a variety of skincare purposes and homemade formulas, including:

Body butter

Coconut oil is a widely used as a carrier oil for essential oils it dilutes them (that's a good thing; essential oils are extremely potent) and enhances absorption. Because coconut oil is solid at room temperature, you do not need a lot of other ingredients to get the buttery consistency.

Body scrub

Coconut oil can be combined with coconut sugar or medium-grained salt to create a gentle exfoliating body scrub. (Sugar and/or salt crystals are too large i.e. damaging to be used on the delicate skin of your face.)

Eye makeup remover

You don't need anything more than a dab of oil on a cotton ball or swab to remove eye makeup without irritation or over-drying the extremely thin skin around your eyes.

Pure coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, which can also make it a good spot treatment for scrapes or cuts.

Harnessed Coconut Potency

While coconut oil can substitute for a variety of skincare products, there's no denying it's messy. Hale Cosmeceuticals harnesses the potency of coconuts in a number of its skincare formulas, including our CharColate Masque. Contact us to order today.
