SB-7 Skin Brightener
SB-7 unique technology developed by Hale Cosmeceuticals Inc. uses 7 different dipigmentations called skin lighteners / brighteners. This non-comedogenic, oil free serum may be applied to spotted areas or all over face and body areas. SB-7 helps correct uneven skin tones, fight age spots, freckles, and other hyper-pigmentation disorders. There are 6 different mechanisms that play a role in dipigmentation:
- Selectively Destroy the Melanocytes (Phenolic compounds like Hydroquinone)
- Inhibits the formation of melanosomes (Hydroquinone and Catechols)
- Chemical effect on Melanin (Physical Bleaching agents like Peroxide, Mercury etc.)
- Inhibit the formation of Melanin (Hydroquinone and phenolic compounds)
- Inhibit the biosynthesis of Tyrosinae (Currently used Botanicals IE: Licorice Mulberry Emblica Etc.)
- Interfere with transfer of Melanosomes (Azelaic Acid, Ferulic Acid)
Mechanisms 1 ,2, 3, and 4 are unsafe and also toxic to a certain extent. Mechanisms 5 and 6 are safe and effective with sunscreen addition to the daily routine. Some of the active we currently after extensively do our research are:
- Kojic Dipalmitate - A Fat soluble Kojic Acid
- Niacinamide – A Vitamin B-3
- Glutathione – A Tripeptide and master anti-oxidant
- Ferulic Acid – A cinnamon derived polyphenolic compound
- Azelaic Acid – A naturally occurring dicarboxylic acid with good acne and hypigmentation properties
- Phytic Acid – Rice Bran derived Inositol compound
- Emblica Fruit Extract – A naturally occurring dried fruit extract- Gooseberries
- Vitamin C – Ascorbic Acid
Directions: Use product after cleansing and then apply to the area you would like to brighten. We suggest using a glycolic base product to open the epidermis to help the SB-7 penetrate deeper into the skin. This product works as post peel treatment. SB-7 can be used morning and night and only need 1-2 pumps for face area.
