And please, do. ## Differences in Men and Women's Skin It should come as no surprise that the hormonal differences between men and women have effects on the skin. Increased androgens in men result in thicker skin, increased oil production and, of course, more facial hair. ## Differences in Men and Women's Skin Care Products Though men's skin is thicker than women's, all skin functions the same. The main difference in products is mostly in the marketing, which largely focuses on women who average three daily-use skincare products compared to me, over 50% of whom only use shaving cream on the regular. ## Men Using Women's Skin Care Products You might be surprised to learn that women are more attracted to men with healthy skin and a youthful complexion. In fact, women rated healthy skin as more appealing than a masculine looks in a 2012 study published in the January edition of the Journal Evolution and Human Behavior. Unfortunately, the grueling practice of daily shaving can leave skin irritated, red, dry and flaky. The dullness and roughness of the skin can hinder the attractiveness of your face. But there may be relief in women's skincare products, and not as many as you may fear. First, to replenish skin after daily exfoliation (because that's what shaving does to your skin), find a moisturizer suited to your skin type. Gentlemen with dry skin will most benefit from a thicker cream while those with oily or combination skin should opt for a water-based lotion. Second, guys who are willing to change their ways and add a good sunscreen to their minimalist routine will be able to deflect a barrage of free radicals from the UV exposure. Sunscreen will not only help in preventing signs of aging hyper-pigmentation and wrinkles but also prevent melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. Go ahead guys, shop the world of women's skincare products.
