    What is Clean Skincare?

If you are a skincare enthusiast, you must understand how important it is for you to use the right ingredients for your skin so that you don't end up damaging it. Clean Skincare has recently become a buzzword and there is some confusion as to what it means. More people are looking into what is in their skincare products.

At Hale Cosmeceuticals, we have been formulating products with a focus on Clean ingredients for over 30 years, before this was even a term! Our products are based on naturally-derived ingredients and all of our incoming ingredients undergo stringent QC/QA testing. We have been ahead of the curve and science as it relates to skincare ingredient quality, and as an American manufacturer, we can make sure we know what's going into our products!

    What is Clean Skincare?

In reality "clean beauty" or "clean skincare" doesn't have a standardized or clear definition. These buzzwords are not actually regulated. The concept of clean skincare is generally meant to imply that the ingredients contained within the products are not have considered harmful. In an effort to make products cheaper, there could be several toxins or fillers in your skincare products. Even if not harmful, these can also prevent you from getting the results you desire. Clean skincare should also have products that are very transparent about the ingredients they use. Another term used would be 'non-toxic'.

However, it is not that simple. Companies are not at a consensus about the products can be toxic and which ones can be clean. There is no specific definition as to which products are not clean and should be left out. Unfortunately, there is no deciding body that determines what can be labeled as clean skincare. The decision is often left to customers to figure out and do their own research to find out what products are healthy for the skin and which ones are not. There are many ingredients that have historically been included in products which we now know are harmful. Companies should be transparent about their ingredients and claims to generate trust with the public.

At Hale Cosmeceuticals we do NOT use parabens, phthalates, formaldehyde, dyes or artificial coloring. Our Skin Brightening products have never included Hydroquinone. Our sunscreens are not 'chemical sunscreens'. All of our products have high active ingredient concentrations with minimal fillers, waxes, or silicones. Our products have been used and trusted by Skincare Professionals for over 30 years. Need us to say more?

    BenefitS OF CLEAN INGREDIENTS

Why should you invest your time in choosing the right skincare? Well, here are some of the benefits:

    Prevents Allergic Reactions

There may be an ingredient in your skincare product that may cause allergic reactions. Most of the ingredients that cause allergic reactions are toxins. If you use products that are free from all toxins, you will be doing yourself a massive favor and avoid the pain and unrest an allergic reaction brings. Natural skin care products do not have allergens and can be safe to use. Redness, irritation, sensitivity could be related to the ingredients in the skincare products you use.

    Harmful to the Environment

Carcinogens and toxic chemicals which could be harmful to your skin and body could also be damaging to the environment. There has been tremendous press related to chemical-based sunscreens damaging the coral reefs in the ocean. This is the most prominent side-effect of certain skincare products, but toxic chemicals can have far-reaching effects on ourselves and our environment.

    Boosts Immunity

When you steer clear from harmful chemicals then your immunity levels increase. Healthier skin has been shown to help lead to improved immunity. So, it goes without saying that using healthy ingredients is essential to maintain healthy immunity. Your skincare is not just limited to the skin on your face but it contributes to the rest of your body.

    Conclusion

By using toxic skincare products, you are putting yourself in harm's way. The choice of using skincare products is your own and you cannot blame the company, which is why it is important that you make the conscious effort of choosing the right skincare.
