    Independent Research

At Hale Cosmeceuticals, we don't let anything get in the way of making high quality skin care products affordable. To pursue our mission and stay on the cutting edge of technology, we had to declare our independence from paid research. Instead, we base our product formulas on the independent research of our in-house research and development department.

What Independent Research Means to Us

Developing and testing skin care products are not inexpensive undertakings. Research requires special equipment and the expertise of highly qualified scientists. Many companies just don't have the money (or prioritize the investment) to conduct their own research. Instead, they rely on the research findings of skin care companies or other consumer testing labs. Waiting for someone else to do the research puts you behind the curve when it comes to finding out about and incorporating new ingredients. If a company can patent their research, it may mean that you don't even have access to the latest ingredient or processing method. But Hale Cosmeceuticals doesn't have to worry about falling behind. We have had our own in-house R & D department since we opened in 1989.

Our scientists stay on the cutting edge of skin care technology. We know about, test and incorporate new ingredients that have a lot of skin health-boosting potential, and we apply the latest advances in processing methods all so that we can continually improve our formulas and expand our offerings for you! Because we do our own research, we don't have to worry if the findings are reliable or not. That means we exercise control over everything that goes into our products from the data that informs our formulas to our ingredients.

What Independent Research Means for You

Doing our own research allows us to stay a cut above the competition, and that comes with some distinct benefits for you. Hale customers get products that:

Incorporate the latest advancements in the skin care industry first.

Ferulic acid is an example. Ferulic acid isn't exactly a household name in skin care the way that retinol or Vitamin C are but it will be. Ferulic acid is a powerful antioxidant that also has skin brightening potential and helps stabilize other antioxidant compounds like L-Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and tocopherol (vitamin E). And it's already in our 20% Vitamin C Serum (which also happens to be on special this month)!

    Are effective and affordable.

Having our own in-house R & D department not only helps us control the quality of the research and information used to develop our formulas, it helps us control our overhead. By keeping cost of development low (and shipping without boxes), we are able to offer high-potency products that are proven effective at affordable prices.

    Are humanely tested.

Our R & D department's work isn't finished when a new product comes out. We are continually testing the effectiveness of the ingredients and reformulating when a new ingredient or processing method comes on the scene. But our products are never tested on animals.

When you use products developed by a company with its own R & D department, you know that you are getting products that are safe, effective and of the highest quality.

Independent Research That Works for You

There is one more benefit to choosing a company with its own R & D department—we can customize formulas to meet your needs. Hale Cosmeceuticals offers custom compounding for our professional clients. Based on your needs and specifications, we can create a custom formula; we can even create a custom brand for your clinic, med spa or salon!
